This just in from Politico.com:
President Obama made a surprise visit to the White House press corps Thursday night, but got agitated when he was faced with a substantive question.
Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.
“Ahh, see,” he said, “I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can’t end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I’m going to get grilled every time I come down here.”
Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, William J. Lynn III, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter’s shoulder and staring him in the eye.
“Alright, come on” he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. “We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that’s all I was trying to do.”
I don’t know, I think that’s a valid question. Is that a grilling?

Shouldn’t he have been “introduced” to them by now, with the way the Press has followed him around like a love-sick puppy for the last two years?

Chris Matthews is going to beat that journo up, I’m sure, for messing with the object of his man-crush. This is going to be the worst presidency we’ve ever had, you can bank on it; nationalized banks, growing unemployment, just wait.
The Barak of Gibraltar is very good at dodging questions. St. Obamessiah is high and lofty and has power over his star struck lovers.
I will say and predict that those star struck lovers will turn against him when the honeymoon is over.

To be fair, the nationalizing of banks began under Bush. Fiscally, he was practically a socialist.
Yeah, he kept us safe, for which I am grateful. But I also have to include I’m disappointed that more effort wasn’t put into fortifying the Mexican border.

I doubt that’ll be any time soon. He’ll have to do something on the level of blowing up a defenseless aspirin factory for that to happen.
Even then…

Agreed, Bush even went so far as to declare that he was acting in a socialistic manner and betrayed his free market ideals. Not so, our Savior,
*Sigh*
Par for the course. The MSM, as usual, will lap everything up just because the administration happens to have the same voter registration as they do.
This is why I tune them out. And will continue to do so.
