Caprica debuts tonight on SyFy

By relantel - Posted on 22 January 2010

Short and to the point. I was alerted last night by a promo during USA Network's Burn Notice that the new prequel series Caprica debuts tonight at 9pm EST on SyFy (old SciFi). The Pilot is 2 hours long, and will reair at 11pm EST, and probably again in the overnight.

I watched a couple of episodes this past weekend. I was entertained, but I had trouble getting over the endless portent chained between every single character. Like every series, I'll assume it's better after I understand the plot a bit better.

I finally finished the pilot last night. Slow at times - it lacked the "big bang" that the 2003 BSG pilot of a mini-series had.

It was almost as if one needed to have seen the 2003 BSG to have any idea as to what was going on.

How long before this gets moved over to NBC to fill in gaps created by the Canning of Jay Leno's primetime show? I know some of BSG was reaired on NBC to fill Saturday primetimes lots, like some of the Law and Order genre are reaired. With SyFy and USA being owned by NBC, it's not impossible to imagine CI, Burn Notice, Blue Collar and others being moved to the main network.
