Obamenomics:Unemployment rate at 9.5 percent.

The One

Obamenomics is working for us, right?  The One, that would be ObamaNeo has certainly caused hope and change alright.  I'm sure he'll say something like"It will take time, next year, two years, three, four until he runs out of fingers and time.

WASHINGTON – Employers cut a larger-than-expected 467,000 jobs in June and the unemployment rate climbed to a 26-year high of 9.5 percent. Workers also saw weekly wages fall, suggesting Americans will have little appetite to spend and the economy's road to recovery will be bumpy.

The Labor Department report, released Thursday, showed that even as the recession flashes signs of easing, companies likely will want to keep a lid on costs and be wary of hiring until they feel certain the economy is on solid ground.

June's payroll reductions were deeper than the 363,000 that economists expected and average weekly earnings dropped to the lowest level in nearly a year.

However, the rise in the unemployment rate from 9.4 percent in May wasn't as sharp as the expected 9.6 percent. Still, many economists predict the jobless rate will hit 10 percent this year, and keep rising into next year, before falling back.

Remember the "jobless recovery" lingo from the Dems in 2004? The unemployment rate is near double the low point during the Bush years. What was the unemployment rate when Obama was elected (or, as far back as McCain having his bad week in September that saw Obama retake the poll lead?)

I think when he took office it was 5% , and I actually believe the rate is much higher than 9.5%.

First off, great choice of image Javen, LOL!

You know what I should so? I should superimpose a graph of the unemployment rate, or the Dow Jones over that image, and make the data points the bullets. Obama promised that his porkulus bill would prevent the unemployment rate from topping 8% -- well, that was a crock.

Two things about Obama irk me (ok, it's more than that, but time is short). One, he keeps claiming that his policies have 'created or saved' 'X' number of jobs. It doesn't matter if the unemployment rate keeps increasing, he just claims that it would be much, much worse were it not for his policies. And jobs 'created or saved' cannot be measured in any way, so why is the press reporting it as though it were a fact?

Second, Obama just keeps moving the goalposts whenever he fails to reach them. How many times has The One intoned, "things are going to get worse before they get better"? Well, that makes his job a lot easier, doesn't it?

Now that would be not only funny, but also educational.  Do it!

Plus Obamenomics is alot like dodging bullets without even moving.  He's firing them at the joblesness and other things, but just can't quite do it right. Because he has no experince. Just like...

Do you remember the movie Pulp Fiction where Jules and John Travoltas charcters go to pick up a briefcase, and near the end of the scene a guy comes out blindly firing a gun scattering bullets all around them?  He never hits Jules or Mr. Travolta.

That is Obama he's blindly firing everywhere and completley missing the mark thinking eventually it one hit something.

Probably the spine of our economic system.
