But the top left of the 'B' in Buried is distracting.
I think it might be because the logo is so curvilinear but that dark, sharp edge contrasts with everything else. It might be a font issue. Or it could be resolved by bringing the arch to cover all of the 'B' and 'D', but that might ruin the narrative of unearthing the Buried Planet that I figure you were shooting for.
Maybe you could bring the arch further down so that it's intersecting through the middle of the word 'Buried'?
Buy a globe, and some plaletologist equipment. Go to scenic locale, dig hole, drop globe in hole, sprinkle loose soil over globe to give appearance of newly excavated discovery. Snap pic, upload to Buried Planet super computer, add name of Blog, voila cool Blog banner!
That's a very, very good idea. Simple, funny, cheap to execute - and I could bring it to various locations. I could go hiking and place some rocks on top of it, etc.
Let's test the polling content, shall we?

You left that one way open. Too easy to not resist.
I don't really like it. But it works.
I think it works. That's not to say I won't also like something else you may come up with.

LOL, that's a very diplomatic way of putting it, Rel!
What about the new logo?

The new one conveys the buried, but I'm not sure it's better than the first one.

I'm thinking of putting a colored 'planet' in place of the shaded sphere, and extending the black block downwards and leftwards a bit more.

I'll give that a try.
