Awesome Political Artwork
Submitted by Krogenar on Tue, 01/15/2013 - 14:35Just thought I would share this: and artist who creates paintings of American Presidents in heroic poses. My favorite is pictured above -- Ronald Reagan riding a velociraptor while firing a submachine gun and an RPG. The artist has also created images of Jefferson battling a gorilla, Teddy Roosevelt fighting Bigfoot and Obama riding a lion.
Obama should have been riding a unicorn, or fighting the 2nd Amendment, or fiscal responsibility, but still -- great artwork.

Romney vs. Big Bird
Submitted by Krogenar on Mon, 10/08/2012 - 08:38
During last week's first presidential debate, Mitt Romney declared that he would cut all funding for programs on the basis of the question: "Is this program so crucial that it is worth borrowing money from China to protect?" He then headed directly at an issue some commentators had noticed -- Jim Lehrer, the moderator of the debate, is an employee of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service).
Romney stated unequivocally that he would cut PBS's funding -- saying to the moderator, "I really like Big Bird, and I even like you Mr. Lehrer." But hey, we're in a financial crisis, and some cuts are going to have to be made. It's not personal, it's just business.

Conservative Men Are Paleolithic Throwbacks
Submitted by Krogenar on Thu, 04/12/2012 - 10:11The UK's Telegraph reports that 'strong men' (read 'cavemen') tend to vote conservative. A new study by Australian scientists indicate that men are "more likely to hold right wing political views because they believe society should be geared to personal struggle and self-preservation, an academic study claims."
I think this deserves further study. Could the converse be true? I find gender studies to be utterly fascinating for Gender Studies majors, and thoroughly stupid for everyone else, but hey, let's go there!

Obama Re-Election Video
Submitted by Krogenar on Fri, 03/09/2012 - 09:19This is the 2-minute trailer for the 17-minute movie to be released on March 15th, titled 'The Road We've Traveled'. Narrated by Tom Hanks, it chronicles the Herculean tasks that President Obama has tackled in his first term as president. Kyle Smith, film reviewer at the New York Post remarked that the film could be titled: "Lights! Camera! Excuses!"
Follow the jump for my take on this.

Obama Farts in Church
Submitted by Krogenar on Wed, 01/25/2012 - 09:32Well, I watched Obama's 2012 'State of the Union' address last night, and it was more of the same. Nothing new, just the same old 'yes, we can' cheerleading from The Wide Awake Nightmare President. But there were some highlight, which I will cover after the jump, and I was able to refrain from posting images of the Costa Concordia shipwreck.
As expected, Obama told everyone that things are looking up for America, and I am still stunned that John Boehner was able to sit behind Obama and maintain a straight face. I would be getting three stars on every level of Angry Birds were I in his seat.
Despite all the happy talk from Obama, the president 'farted in church' on several occassions last night.
