Unexpected twist turned upside down by BBC’s Robin Hood, (BBC site/BBC America site) whose Series 2 finale finally aired here in the U.S. on August 2. (And which we finally got around to watching tonight). In some ways, the cat-and-mouse between Robin and the Sheriff episode to episode had gotten tiring, but overall it was still a good show.
Until the 2nd series Finale (Episode #26 - episode details in link, beware of spoilers).

Ed. NOTE: Much of this was written on January 22, 2008 but only recently completed.
Jonathan LaPaglia (brother of Without a Trace lead Anthony LaPaglia) plays the role of chrononaut Lt. Frank B. Parker in the series Seven Days. (Also written in places as 7 Days). Parker is a former Navy SEAL, rescued from the Hansen Island mental facility, and is the only chrononaut that has consistently survived the backstep. Created by Christopher and Zachary Crowe, it is far from Quantum Leap, as Parker retains his own identity, is not alone, and the time travel is not random. The title announces the limit of the Backstep project, that they can travel back in time, but only 7 days into the past.

nbsp;Sci-Fi.com now has the 90 second trailer for the new BSG spinoff, Caprica, online. It is set as a prequel, a generation before BSG.
It appears the elder Adama is the same actor that played Major Beck in the 2nd season of Jericho.
Last night saw the premiere of the first part of the Discovery Channel’s six-part series “When We Left Earth“. The series airs Sundays at 9pm, two episodes at a time, with an 11pm repeat. It is laced with volumes of original NASA footage, as well as many fresh interviews of the participants - both astronauts and ground control personnel. For those that missed it last nigt, the first two episodes will reair Saturday, June 14th at 9pm.
When We Left Earth is the story of mankind’s greatest adventure, leaving the earth and living in space. For the first time this series has digitally re-mastered the original film and audio recordings from NASA’s vault, including and all the key on-board footage filmed by the astronauts themselves. From John Glenn’s Mercury mission to orbit the earth, to Neil Armstrong’s first historic steps on the moon, to the unprecedented spacewalks required to repair the Hubble telescope, these epic stories are shown in stunning clarity and told by the astronauts and engineers who were there.

A heads up to those so inclined… Saturday night, April 26th, will be the American premier of the 2nd series (season) of BBC’s Robin Hood, on BBC America at 9pm ET/PT. This season aired in the U.K. in the fall of 2007, and finally will answer the cliffhanger left in episode 13 of season 1. Jonas Armstrong plays the title role.
For those that missed the last three episodes of season 1, they will air from 6-9pm. Full schedule of episodes airing here.
Tonight gave me the opportunity to watch the last of the 7 episodes of the 2nd season of Jericho. Without giving away any plot spoilers, the 2nd season was worth watching, and depsite the CBS constrictions, it was well put together and lived up to the expectations given by Season 1.
One thing is abundantly clear: CBS did Jericho a great disservice by forcing a 22 episode plot arc into only 7 episodes. It forced the directors to cut out many time-links of the type that would have been included in Season 1. Imagine a season of Fox’s 24 shot in only 7 hours, and you get an idea of the type of detail cut out.
CBS may not want to bring it back, but it is still a good show, and it has room for further plot development, as the season 2 finale did not end the series plot as many had feared. CBS is calling the 2nd season finale the “series finale” on their page, but the plot is set up for the start of a civil war, and does not resolve anything.
The rerun of the 1st season on Sci-Fi this winter led to speculation that they might be interested in picking it up. Time will only tell. Jericho is a quality show that suffered from the strike, and CBS’s indifference. Perhaps it was too outside their CSI box - their six hours (or more) a week of the standard crime drama, from the three CSIs, Without a Trace, Cold Case and NUMBERS. Jericho as serial drama is out of place at CBS.
For those that missed it, CBS’s official site has full episodes available for viewing.
Consider this your two week’s notice that season 4, advertised to be the final season, of Battlestar Galactica is now just two weeks away. The season premeire will air Friday, April 4, 2008 at 10pm EDT. As of now, the official site features a “What the Frack is going on” clip of near 10 minutes in length, with fast narration and montage of show clips. Two more clips are there as well, titled “Revealed” and “Phenomenon“. Revealed is a 22 minute commentary from Executive Producers Moore & Eick. Phenomenon is also 22 minutes in length, and deals with the show’s unexpected popularity, and features entertainment figures from actors to hosts to singers.
For those that aren’t up to speed, a slew of seasons 1-3 episodes will be airing on Sci-Fi over the next two weeks.
HBO has aired the first two installments of a 7-part miniseries based on the David McCullough biography of John Adams. Parts 1 and 2 originally aired on Sunday, March 16, but have been reairing, and are scheduled to reair, several more times this week on HBO and HBOW (501 and 504 on DirecTV). Parts 3-7 will air beginning with Part 3 on Sunday, March 23.
Don’t have a review yet, as I haven’t seen more than 2 minutes worth of part 2 to date, but I did DVR it last night. HBO’s page can be found here. Their here. Their schedule can be found here. Next up is a 6pm & 7:10pm EDT for Parts 1 & 2 on HBO, and 9pm & 10:10pm EDT for parts 1 and 2 on HBOW.

Two weeks ago saw the return of Jericho on CBS, now on Tuesday from the banishment that is Friday television. Unlike the first season, a full 22 episode one, this 2nd season has everything crammed into 7 episodes.
This cramming forces long plot arcs to be revealed in short time, leaving some developments unexplained. The premiere unveils a new goverment (”Cheyenne”) with a new flag, in control of the Western U.S., and it spreading a false story of who was behind the bombs. Hawkins is revealed for which side he is on, and forced to take greater risks. It also brings Major Beck into the picture, who is with Cheyenne’s 10th Mountain Division.
Catch up on episodes here on CBS.com, including 2.1 and 2.2.
And as always, the full whodroppedthebomb.com takes one to CBS’s primetime page for Jericho.
This one is a jaw-dropper.
On the other hand, at least they’re having a debate about the issue on Iraqi television. I’m not sure how many Iraqis are siding with the ‘flat Earth’ guy, but it is jarring to hear someone say, “If it’s not in the Koran, it’s not true.”
To be fair, here’s another clip”
